霍布斯《利维坦》中的国家哲学思想探析

摘 要

霍布斯作为十七世纪著名的政治哲学家，在人类思想史上有着重要的影响和地位，尤其是他的国家哲学思想，构成了他最为重要的著作《利维坦》的主旋律。本文对霍布斯《利维坦》中的国家哲学思想从政治哲学的角度给予梳理，力图阐述《利维坦》中国家哲学思想的历史渊源及其对后世的影响，用政治哲学的方法探究《利维坦》中国家哲学思想的主要内容。本文分为三个部分。

在第一部分“霍布斯的《利维坦》及其国家哲学的思想渊源”中，首先对霍布斯及其著作《利维坦》进行简要的背景介绍，明确《利维坦》一书中自始至终都贯穿着“国家”这一主线。接着分析霍布斯《利维坦》中国家哲学的思想渊源，阐述了四位哲学家有关国家的思想。其中，伊壁鸠鲁最先提出国家起源于社会契约的思想，他不但把契约看做是国家赖以建立的基础，而且把契约和利益原则联系起来。马基雅维利的国家观是建立在其人性恶的基础之上的，他认为国家的目的是为了保障每个人自由地使用财产，保障人民的安全，为世俗谋幸福。博丹第一个系统地论述了国家主权学说，他不仅探讨了国家的起源问题，而且还探讨了国家权力的合法性基础问题。格老秀斯已经开始用人的眼光来观察国家了，把国家的产生归于人们订立契约的结果。这四位哲学家的思想都对霍布斯的国家哲学思想产生了影响。

在第二部分“霍布斯《利维坦》中国家哲学思想的主要内容”中，首先从自然欲望公理和自然理性公理两个方面阐述了霍布斯国家哲学思想的人性论基础。霍布斯的人性理论是他国家哲学的基础，他把人性理论归结为两条人性公理。其次，从自然状态理论、自然法思想、自然权利观以及社会契约论的基本内容四个方面对霍布斯的社会契约论进行了分析，他认为人们订立契约的目的，是为了结束原始的战争状态，是为了求得和平与安全的生活。再次，从主权者理论和臣民的自由阐述了霍布斯的主权者学说，并总结出主权者与臣民的关系是保护和服从的关系。他认为，主权者拥有主权，其职责是为人民求得安全，臣民必须服从主权者，同时霍布斯又赋予了个人以不危及国家为底线的、有条件的自由。最后，从国家主权的特征和主权的形式对霍布斯的国家主权理论进行了分析。霍布斯认为主权是单一的、不可分割的、不可转让的，是至高无上的。结合这一主权特征

霍布斯提出了以集权主义为核心的君主专制的国家主权形式，霍布斯是君主专制的拥护者，竭力为君主专制制度进行辩护。他认为君主专制政体是最好的。

在第三部分“霍布斯《利维坦》中国家哲学思想的后世影响”中，首先是从霍布斯的社会契约论国家哲学思想对其之后的洛克、卢梭的契约论思想产生的影响进行阐述，其次是从自由主义的角度分析了霍布斯对洛克、卢梭的自由主义思想的影响。最后分析霍布斯对近代政治哲学的影响。

文章坚持历史和逻辑相一致的方法论原则，从政治哲学史的角度给霍布斯的国家哲学理论以逻辑的分析和把握，坚持理论联系实际的方法，从当时政治生活的实际出发，把握历史背景，从中探求国家哲学思想发展变化的根源和脉络。

Abstract

As the seventeenth century’s famous political philosopher, Hobbes had a significant impact and status in the history of human thought, especially his national philosophy. The national philosophy thought had constituted the main theme of Hobbes’s most important work Leviathan. The thesis is divided into three chapters.

Chapter 1 is Hobbes’s The Leviathan and the thinking origin of his national philosophy. In this chapter, it gives us a brief introduction about the background of Hobbes and his The Leviathan, and analyzes the thinking origin of national philosophy in Hobbes’s The Leviathan.

Chapter 2 is the main elements of the national philosophy in Hobbes’s Leviathan. In this chapter, first talking about the basis of the national philosophy from the natural desire and the natural rational. Secondly ,analyse Hobbes’s the social contract theory.Once again, analyse the theory of sovereignty from the people of sovereignty and the freedom of citizens. Last, analyse the characteristics and the form of the national sovereignth theory.

Chapter 3 is the influence of the national philosophy in Hobbes’s The Leviathan to the afterworld. In this chapter, it takes three different aspects analyse the deep influence of the national philosophy to the afterworld.

The thesis will consist the methodology principle of unifying the history and logic, and giving logical analysis and grasp to Hobbes’ Theory of the State from the angle of political philosophy. It will grasp the history background from the political life of that time, and than search the moment of the development of nation philosophy.
