The main task for the course: to help students to know the major English–speaking countries’ the general knowledge about these countries.

Let students get interest in English culture and English learning. II. Analysis of the difficult and important points.
1. Present a sequence of the form to introduce the functional item to the students.
2. Teach the students how to read an article, and how to write summary of what they have read.

Have a simple introduction of the lesson.
This lesson will teach the students some cultural background of the English-speaking countries, and we will take America and the UK as examples and go deeper into its history, geography, society etc.
2. Warming up
Show some pictures of the places of interest in English-speaking countries, lead the students to answer the questions. Let the students know that these countries are English-speaking countries.
