2. How have professional and cultural experiences shaped your career goals and how will this degree help you achieve those goals?
Today, the global prevalence of accounting fraud cases, such as in the well-known Enron Event, Enron Corporation was forced to admit made false accounts, false figures stunning, the costliest undoubtedly those investors, especially those ordinary shares investors who still holds a large number of Enron shares. It touched me greatly, as a good accountant, we want to provide the right information to help investors’ investment decisions and take social responsibility. Since I was very young I have always been interested in accounting and finance and how they operate. In China, my favourite TV programme is the finance programme and I enjoy international finance. I frequently worked in my mother’s company to help the staff in the accounts department. All of these have given me a chance in the understanding of accounting and finance.I learned that accounting is not a boring job that is related with figures, But one that with moral and social responsibility that lead me to the fascinating world. Motivated by this ideal, I aspired to delve into the field of accounting to become a good CPA.
