Step 1 Free talk

Ask the students to say out the good ways of learning English.

Step 2 Self check

For Ex1, let one student read the words and translate them.

The students do these exercises themselves first, then check the answers. For ex2, divide the students into four-person groups and discuss about the interviewing. Ask some students to report their information about Xu Zheng.

Step 1 Presentation

Ask the students to think about the ways of facing problems and tell the class.

Step 2 Reading

Look through the passage, find out the ways mentioned in the passage. Then study it.

3. regard as “把 .看作，认为 .”

例：We regard Yang Liwei as a hero.

4. strict “严格的”

be strict with sb. “对某人严格” be strict in sth “对某事严格” 例：The teachers are strict with us in our study.
