Ordinal numbers(序数词) We can use ordinal numbers to order things and events.

1.Mr. Wu has two children.The first child is a boy. The second is a girl. 2. There are seven days in a week.

Wednesday is the fourth day of a week.Thursday is the fifth day of a week.

We use them to talk about dates(日期), floors(楼层), results(结果)… Its birthday is on the fifth of June.

The flat is on the seventh floor.I get the first in this exam(考试). 序数词前要加“the”

基数词变序数词规则基变序，有规律， 结尾字母th。 一二三，特殊记， 结尾字母t, d, d; 八减t, 九减e, f替ve, 整十变y为ie, (eighth, ninth) (five ---fifth, twelve---twelfth) (twenty---twentieth) (twenty-one twenty-first) (first, second, third)

然后再加th;如果遇到几十几, 只变个位就可以。
