and some people may be untruful in their response to opinion pollsters. 这句话前半句是讲的focus groups, 跟考题要找的答案无关，那么答案肯定在后半句，be动词后面一般填形容词或者名词。如果填 people这个名词的话，很明显意思不通，故舍弃。填形容词，surveys can be untruthful, 符合题意。 介词定位词：

题： According to Dr. Swediaur, Ambergris is produced by the

whale's .........to help the sperm whale digest ........of squid. often by........., the sick sperm whale expels Ambergris.

Often expelled by vomiting, ambergris floats in chunks on the water. 根据黑体字和介词，答案显而易见。故不再赘述。

4,做这类题的时候，有时候划出的关键词找不到原词对应，就应该找该词的相关词。相关词包括：

a. synonyms（近义词）

b.antonyms（反义词）

c. 意思相似，但是词性不同的词，比如,America-----American; fertile（肥沃的）----fertiliser（肥料）-----fertilise(给....施加肥料）

d.上下义词，也就是概括性的词和细节词。比如：building trade（建筑行业）包括bricklaying( 砌砖）, surveying(测量），carpentry（木工）

这类题型，错的同学一般错在找到了关键词，找对了句子，但是找不到该填哪一个词；词性不分；超出了字数限制；抄错单词，少写，多写或者错写字母。前两种错误是语言基本功不够扎实，分不清单词的词性，因此在平常的学习中，养成好的学习习惯 多思考，学一个单词，要去想想它的相关词有哪些；后两种错误完全是由于个人粗心造成的，所以请大家细心一点。
