The dispersion relation and damping rate of longitudinal color plasmons in finite strange quark matter (strangelets) are evaluated in the limits of weak coupling, low temperature, and long wavelength. The property of the QCD vacuum surrounding a strangelet
decompressedsystem,forothermechanismsproducingphotonsandleptonpairs,andfortheuncertaintiesdiscussedintheprecedingparagraph,arerequired.Elucidationofthisproblemisbeyondthescopeofthispaper.
