May I have your attention, please?
I am Li Hua, chairman of the Students’Union in our school. With the Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, we intend to organize a party for the foreign exchange students to have a better understanding of traditional Chinese culture.
At the beginning of the party, a brief introduction about the origin of the Mid-Autumn Festival will be given. To make the party more interesting and get everyone present at the party involved, we have prepared special gifts for those who win our chopsticks competition. What’s more, participants will be shown how to make mooncakes, the traditional Chinese food for the festival. Of course, those who take part in the activity can taste the sweet fruit of their own efforts and other yummy snacks and specialities.
Last but not least, please bear in mind that the party will start at 7 p.m. on the evening of September 23rd and come to an end at around 8:30 p.m. in the lecture hall of our school.
We sincerely look forward to your arrival and participation. Thank you.
