We derive analytic formulas for the radiatively corrected mass of the scalar Higgs boson in the framework of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). Since the scalar-top-quark mass in our analysis include terms proportional to the gauge couplings
2fortheparameterspaceof102≤m23≤150GeV,and100≤mQ(mT)≤1000GeV.
We ndfromFig.1thatmhincreasesastanβincreases.Thatis,mhoftheMSSMisalwaysmaximizedassinβ→1.Fig.2showstheupperboundontheradiatively
2correctedmassoftheneutralHiggsboson,asafunctionoftanβ,for102≤m23≤150
GeV,100≤mQ(mT)≤1000GeV,and100≤At≤3000GeV.OfcoursetheupperboundonthelighterscalarHiggsbosonmassatthetreelevelisZbosonmass.ThedashedcurveexhibitstheupperboundontheneutralHiggsbosonmasswithoutthegaugebosoncontributions.ThesolidcurveexhibitstheupperboundontheneutralHiggsbosonmasswiththepartialcontributionsofthegaugebosons.We ndfromFig2thatmAapproachesmHastanβincreases.Theabsoluteupperboundsonmhwithoutthegaugebosoncontributionsandwiththepartialcontributionsofthegaugebosonsisabout130and150GeVfortanβ=40GeV,respectively.
3.Conclusions
IntheMSSM,analyticformulasfortheradiativelycorrectedmassoftheneutralHiggsbosonarederivedfromthe1-loope ectivepontial.Inouranalysis,thescalar-top-quarkmassinthe1-loope ectivepotentialincludestermsproportionaltothegaugecouplings.TheradiativelycorrectedmassofthepseudoscalarHiggsbosondoesnotchangedbytheinclusionoftermsproportionaltothegaugecouplingsinthescalar-top-quarkmass[7].RadiativecorrectionstothetreelevelmassofthepseudoscalarHiggsbosonleadstoapositivecontributionforµ·At>0inourparameterspace.RadiativecorrectionstothepseudoscalarHiggsbosongiveapositivecontributionofabout90GeVinitsmass.TheformualsfortheradiativelycorrectedmassofthescalarHiggsbosonaredi erentfromthoseofotherpaper[7].Atthe1-looplevel,termsproportionaltogaugecouplingsinthescalar-top-quarkmassgiveasigni cantcontributiontothescalarHiggsbosonmass.Especially,theradiativelycorrectedmassofthelighterscalarHiggsbosoncanbeincreasedbyabout20GeVinfavorofthepartialcontributionsofthegaugebosons.ThuswehaveobtainedtheimprovedabsoluteupperboundonthelighterscalarHiggsbosonmassofabout150GeV.Acknowledgements
