Is letter writing better than calling?

A: With the rapid development of modern technology, cell phones have extremely been prevalent in our lives, and they bring us lots of convince ang entertainment. But when it comes to the problem whether writing is better than calling, people’s opinions vary from one to another.

B: In my opinion, I attach much significance to writing. I think language is a magical treasure because language can transform the distance between people even those who haven’t seen each other before.

C: I don’t think so. During the calling, we usually choose those brief words to express our meaning. That is to say, we use the least words to express the most information. It’s more convenient and it can save much time than writing. D: Yes, I agree with you. We don't need to prepare the envelope,paper or stamp.Instead,we only need to press few buttons to have a happy conversation whenever or wherever we want.

B: However, no matter how brief the note is, we can easily find what emotion it wants to convey, sometimes it delivers inspiring, confident, encouraging, concerning and so on.

A: Maybe you are right. Making a call needs words too, but it seems that the magical effect of words or language reflects more obviously in writing. Don’t you think so?

D: Calling may let people feel more like in a face to face conversation. In this way, is there any different that exists between calling and live conversation? The answer must be positive.

C: On the other hand, writing takes somehow more time than calling. There is no doubt that talking is always quicker writing.What’s more, after you write a letter, it takes more time to send it to the right person. D: But as an old saying goes “Every coin has two sides.” Phone calls can bring us not only benefits but also electromagnetic radiation.The increasing of cancer rates should has something to do with it.

C: Someone who isn't good at talking prefers writing. Instead of bad calling, there is no doubt that writing is much better. By the contrast, someone who has a gift for speech must do better in calling than writing. B: There is no doubt that writing can help us express what we are too embarrassed or shy to say face to face. But it disadvantage is also obvious. It takes us too much time in writing a letter and the delivery on the way to its destination

A: Like different people have different personalities, different people have different reactions to writing and calling. How come we make such an absolute conclusion? As far as I am concerned, no matter writing or calling, they can be useful if they're sincere.
