confuse、puzzle、perplex、 bewilder用法辨析 confuse “混淆”、“被搞糊涂”，指在思想上、内容上被搞糊涂、搞迷糊。名词为 confusion. 动词短语 mix up 也含 confuse 的意思。

they had been given by the witness.

2）When new math was introduced into schools, many parents were perplexed by it.

bewilder “困惑”、“迷惑”， 侧重于“迷茫”、“被难住”的意思。指事物或现象使

人的大脑陷入迷糊状态，不能清醒进行思考和理解，表现为心理和智力的紊乱，语气较强。

1）I am totally bewildered by the clues to this crossword puzzle.

这个纵横字谜的提示完全把我弄糊涂了。

2) The motorist was bewildered by the conflicting road signs and had to ask

for information from a policeman.

much.
