11.9Dentdepth(d)isafunctionofcontactforcebutcannotbeobtainedfromaloadedspecimen.Therefore,thespecimenmustbeunloadedtoperformthismeasurement.Forexample,toobtaindatcontactforceF8,loadspecimentoF=F8>0;unloadtoF=0;performmeasurementtoobtaind(F8).Centerthespecimenonthe xtureagainaccordingtothealignmentmarksandloadthespecimentothenexthigherload,F=F9>
