A.请注意动词搭配 make an amendment。 B. as as possible这个结构只能用于有不同程度的副词，如early, soon, carefully, satisfactorily,等等。也就是说，这些副词前面可用表示程度的词进行修饰，如quite early, very carefully等。这些副词也可以有比较级和最高级，如the soonest, more satisfactorily等。但promptly的含义是 at once , at the right time,不可说 a little promptly,或 more promptly。因此，也不可说as promptly as possible。C. request后面不可接不定式作其宾语，故改为 need或hope。Require虽可接不定式，但用在此处语气较生硬。D.“最晚于5月31日”可以下列方式表达：on or before May 31,或 not later than May 31,或 on May 31 at the latest。
