The application protocol of CAN-bus for space robot

Abstract: Because of the great difference in temperature and the high radiation
environment of the outer space and the complicated space robot flying missions, the data processing and communication system of the space robot needs high reliability. On the analysis of the architecture of space robot with six joints, this paper presents a CAN-bus application protocol which has little coupling to satisfy the real-time performance of embedded-system,. In additional this protocol especially adds an user-defined CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) to enhance reliability of the system.
