Abstract:EaisreferredtoastheactivationenergyinArrheniusempiricalequationbyArrhenius,meaningthediffer encebetweentheaverageenergyofactivatedmolecularandthatofnon-activatedmolecularinelementaryreaction.However,theelementaryreactiondoesnothavetheintermediatestate(activatedmolecule),andthereactionspossess ingtheintermediatestate(activatedmolecule)cannotbereferredtoastheelementaryreaction.ThenatureofEaisnotclearlyexpressedintheArrheniusempiricalequation,theactivationenergy(Ea)andrateconstant(k)nottheo reticallycalculated.Therefore,itisverysignificanttoderivetheArrheniusempiricalequationandseekthenatureofEa.ThispaperendeavorstoderivetheArrheniusempiricalequationsgroundeduponthethermodynamictheory,andul timatelyconfirmsthattheEaistheGibbsfreeenergyofresultant(-Gom,B)orGibbsfreeenergyofreactant(-Gom,B).
